Fall 2009
Active Chapter Update
The undergraduate brothers initiated 23 new brothers early and 7 more will initiate after the Christmas Break. They are already beginning to see the fruits of their fall recruitment labor, as many of these new initiates are stepping up to take on leadership roles for Spring Rush, Bylaw revisions, and Chapter offices. ATO has also shown  continuing dedication to Intramurals as always, as they are first place ahead of SAE by 199 points going into the Spring semester. Of 20 fraternities, ATO is ranked 5th in grades, with a cumulative GPA of 3.04.
ATO is making waves on campus. Brother David Lowe '07 was recently elected IFC Executive Vice President and Brother Max Stefka '07 was elected IFC Vice President of Public Relations. Also recently, brothers have gotten involved in the largest campus philanthropy, DanceBlue (see www.danceblue.org for more) with 4 brothers serving on the leadership team. Three brothers started an investment club in the Business and Economics College, managing a hedge fund with money from member dues. In addition brothers are serving on Student Activities Board, Student Government, Air Force ROTC, Student Development Council, and in other student organizations.
This semester a great deal of emphasis was put on participating in other greek organizations' philanthropies and events. This emphasis paid off with Brother Marcus Hincks '06 winning DZ's "Mr. UK" pageant. Andrew Gerughty '08 practiced with his partner for a month running up to Tri Delt's "Dancing with the Greeks." His work paid off, as he and his partner won the overall winner honors.
